Cataleya (Zoë Saldana) is the daughter of a man who works for a drug lord in Colombia. Her family is killed and she escapes and is sent to the U.S. under protective custody. She runs from the police and goes to her uncle and asks him to teach her how to be a killer.
Cataleya grows up and becomes a killer, killing the people who work for Don Luis (the drug lord) trying to send him a message by drawing a picture of a flower on every body, that she will get to him eventually to avenge her parents’ death.
After 22 bodies over 4 years of hiding the signature the killer has been putting on the victims, the FBI decides it is time to reveal it to the public and hope for someone to come with information. As the detective survey’s the picture of the flower, a janitor speaks up and tells him it was the cataleya flower which grows in Colombia, saying he knows this as his wife was Colombian. The detective searches their database for this information only to find out he has no access to this information.
Don Luis, the drug lord, was now also in the U.S. under protection of the C.I.A. for information he has. The agent who holds his case tells him to fix the problem as the F.B.I. are already asking him questions. Don Luis sends Marco, the same person who killed Cataleya’s parents, to go after her and they eventually track down her uncle and grandmother and kills them as well. This enrages Cataleya even more and after years of waiting and preparation, she succeeds and kills the person who killed her family.
